Orme Girls Update
It has been awhile since I have written a quick update on the girls. They are all doing really well. It has been fun to see the changes in them just in the past month or so. Paige is really growing up. She is definitely turning into a little girl. She is much easier to reason with than ever before and her temperment is really evening out, not so many dramatic ups and downs unless she is overly tired. She is very helpful with Avery, playing with her, reading to her, and she wants to hold and carry her all the time. She has suddenly taken an interest in arts and crafts. She is always wanting to paint, glue, cut, and most of all color. She is really good at staying in the lines, even Tobey thought I was joking when I showed him one of the pages Paige colored, he thought I did it because she colors so well now. She loves to sound out words and tell us what letters things start with. It is cute because Paige will say, "Horse starts with H!" Then Kennedy will try to be like her and say, "Puppy starts with A!" proudly saying whatever random letter pops into her head. Kennedy is talking so much more it is amazing! She is able to express most of her ideas so it has been helping with her tantrums. She doesn't seem to throw as many now that we can communicate with her. She says funny things all the time. If something happens that she doesn't like, for example if I say, "It's time to clean up our toys," She has two main responses. The first is...."Oh man!!" and the second is, "Well,..." usually followed by the response as to why she feels she doesn't have to help like, "it's Paige's turn." or "I am not done playing!". It's pretty cute. She is definitely two which means she is either really really cute or really really naughty - there is not much in between right now. Avery is really starting to love to play. She grabs for everything. Or, I should say she swings at everything and about 50 percent of the time manages to grab the things she is swinging at. She loves her exersaucer and her little play mat with the dangling animals. Between her toys and her sisters, she is entertained almost all day long. She is still a very happy, mild baby we all love her to death. Well- that is about all that is going on with the girls, we will definitely keep you posted. Love, Melyssa
